Why Antarctica is better than Europe.

Why should I go to Antarctica?

The real question that I feel literally anybody should be asking themselves is why SHOULDN'T they go to Antarctica? Easiest way to knock out visiting all seven continents, honestly; starting with the most difficult one first. There are no commuter flights to the South Pole. You can't just hop on a bus or call a taxi; no, this is extreme. This is the wild. This is - something I would love to blog about.

I recently spent 2 months in England, and even though I endured missed flights, incorrect outlet adapters, ghastly phone charges, a break-up with a boyfriend, overweight bag fees, and about a million other "oversea travelling" roadbumps, I stayed loyal to my blog. When my phone stopped working whilst alone in Dublin, my blog readers were the first to know. When I felt silly for realizing things I only assumed existed within Harry Potter were actually normal in the UK, I sheepishly admitted it to those following my travels. People told me it was like reading a book; seeing the chronicle of my adventures day after day, never knowing whether the things that were happening to me across the pond would be amazing, eye opening, life changing or just downright crappy.

I can hardly imagine having this experience in a place like Antarctica. Everyone goes to Europe on their summer breaks; everyone takes a backpack and posts the same generic pictures on their blogs of themselves in front of the London Eye, Arthur's Seat, and the Eiffel Tower.

I want my blog to sound more like this:

"Today I met some baby penguins! Real live penguins! I wonder if I brought the right travel adapters for Antarctica..."

I can only cross my fingers, and hope that years of writing and blogging pays off.
