Discovering the Last Continent

I am lucky to have been born in one of the most beautiful European cities: Lisbon. This city has it all, the most warm and welcoming people, the most gorgeous streets, the most fantastic light you have ever seen. It's also where the land meets the sea and from where the Portuguese sailors set sails to the unknown Atlantic Ocean and brought us a new discovered world.

My name is Ana and I'm a Portuguese marine biologist. I'm at this time living in rainy Belgium, enjoying the finest beers and chocolate in the whole world! I'm also doing my PhD on ocean acidification effects, that is on the-other-not-so-well-known-CO2-problem. Plus, I've been enjoying discovering our planet, from Norway to Tasmania, from Chile to Grand Canyon, pretty much like an adventurous old sailor.

Why me? Because I'm just in love with the world we live in. Haven't you noticed it? It has so much to offer us. Even more, the will to travel and discover is somehow well imprinted in my genes. I'm trapped in this crave for adventure. Let me share with you this fantastic experience and guide you into the wonders of the last continent. If or WHEN this dream comes true, can you imagine it? The dancing penguins, the everlasting days, the wild sea, the endless white shades. And that's just where I want to be!
