Add colours to our travel map

By Pauline Luk   June 25th, 2009 | 12:00 pm

Most people admire the wonder of nature.  But some fear of the extreme coldness, some fear of the loneliness of travel far away from home, some fear of the tiredness of touring.  I am one of the exceptional who love adventurous travel.

I am fond of travelling around the world.  I have been the golden desert of Giza Pyramid receiving the dropping temperature of after sun set.  I have been the snowy mountain at Tibet touching the chilly cold lake.  I have been the chalk white Pamukkale in Turkey wearing a swimming suit in the temperature of below freezing point.   All these add colours to my travel map.  All these are stories I shared with my friends from day to day.

I have never been to the Poles.  The nearest place is Kangerlussuaq at Greenland.  I have been layered with 24 pieces of clothing on my body.  I looked like a polar bear but the excitement kept me as active as a jumping tiger.

Antarctica is the dream place that I want to go since I was 10.  I admired the sparkling white of snow.  I admired the untouched nature of the Antarctic.  We all know that the global warming is endangering the Poles.  We can’t see the hole in the sky.  We can’t see the icebergs are melting.  But I am sure my computer and camera can record the magnificent scenery and share to all friends in the world.

I love to share with people very much.  I always share my experience with my university students and friends.  Every time when I share my experience with them,  they giggled and said they do not need to visit there by themselves because it was so detailed.

Please vote for me to the .  My experience would be yours.
