Hi, I’m Sissy Theisen. I am not a professional writer. I’m not a photographer or an expert on environmental topics. I have never hugged a polar bear or judged a penguin bikini contest. Why would anyone pick me for this adventure, then? Because I think it is going to be fun. I’m not trying to advance my career with this blog and I’m not going to lecture my readers. I simply want to share with them the awe-inspiring sights we will see, the gut-bustingly funny foibles of travel we may encounter, and the singularly amazing experiences that I know are waiting for all the voyagers - actual and virtual – when we travel to the seventh continent.

            Sure, I’ve been lots of places. I’ve even written about those travels from time to time. Those are not the reasons to pick me to document this trip. The reason to choose me is simple: I approach new places and new experiences with child-like joy and I will convey that to your readers.
