Dreaming of Antarctica: The Last Frontier

By Brian Cohen   June 23rd, 2009 | 10:05 pm

It is a cold hard fact: traveling to Antarctica is a major dream which I no longer want to put on ice.

As a veteran traveler, I have been to every other continent on this planet, as well as every state in the United States. The notion to have been in every ocean - my foot has been in the Arctic Ocean - will only be satiated by dipping my foot into the Southern Ocean. That is but one footnote to the weblog that I will compose just for you.

Mingling with penguins may be for the Byrds, but I want to do that. I would visit the South Pole if I could, as I have been told that I have a magnetic personality.

I am confident that if I parka myself in Antarctica, it will be a memory for me frozen in time forever. I am ready to set sail in wonder and venture to conquer the land truly down under.

Please join me on this latest adventure in my life from Atlanta to Argentina to Antarctica, aboard the Lyubov Orlova on its sea voyage to the last frontier, as I would enjoy your company while I paint the trip with words in order for you to be transported with me vicariously on the journey to this mysterious continent.

But wait - that's not all! Vote for my weblog within the next 15 minutes and, as an added bonus, subject to my being chosen as the Official Quark Expeditions Blogger, you will also be treated to a plethora of palatable photographs - hundreds of them - as well as top video footage from the bottom of the world. For only zero payments of $19.95 and your vote, how can you resist this offer?!? Go with the floe and please vote for my weblog TODAY!
